Driving without Due Care and Attention

The penalty for driving without due care and attention is between 3-9 penalty points although the Court does have the power to disqualify you if it is deemed appropriate. You can further face a means-tested fine of up to £5,000.

In order to be found guilty of this offence, the prosecution needs to show that you were at fault by proving that the standard of your driving departed from that of a reasonable, prudent motorist.
